Obituary

Joseph Wolfberg, aged 91. Beloved son of the late Louis and Clara Wolfberg; caring brother to the late Anita (Jordan) Miller, devoted husband of Ann Geraldine “Gerri” (nee Kaufman) for 57 years; loving father of Bob (Lynne) and Dan (Linnette); beloved grandfather to Chayla, David, Eli, Zoe, Samantha, Amber and Chase and cherished uncle and great-uncle as well. Joe had many wonderful friendships throughout his life, but none was more meaningful than his close ties with his cousin Bernard Wolfe who predeceased him and with whom he shared a unique sense of humor. All who knew Joe remembered the way he could make them laugh. Joe was always strong in mind and body, as evidenced by his passion for biking and tennis as well as his love of history and chess. Joe was able to battle Parkinson's for many years because of his mindset and the unwavering devotion of his caregivers Roseanna, Jeffrey and Mico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, parkinson.org or a charity of your choice. Chapel service, Tuesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. For information, including a link to view the service, shiva or to leave condolences: www.shalommemorial.org or (847) 255-3520.
