Joel G. Silverstein, age 67, of Hawthorn Woods; loving “spouse” of Lynn; beloved husband of the late Leslie; devoted father of Ron (Kaleena Escallier) Silverstein, Rob (Rachel) Silverstein, Adam (Jaci) Silverstein, Jaime (Shaun) Heeres, Brandon (Colleen) Callahan, and Shawn Callahan; adored Papa of Jacob, Lyla, Rylan, Azlyn, Collin, Tyler, Jayden, and Charlotte; cherished son of the late Claire and the late Sheldon Silverstein; dear brother of Robin Myerberg and Peter (Cheryl) Silverstein; amazing Dog Dad of Jack. Joel is the co-owner and “Precision Tin Basher” at Central Sheet Metal Products, which has been a family business since 1912. He was a lifelong racing enthusiast, commonly referred to as “Champion Dad.” Joel was loved by all who knew him.
