Obituary

Joel Chestler, 82, of Glencoe, IL and Deerfield Beach, FL. Joel became a

member of the Chicago Stock Exchange in 1981 as a market maker. In

1986 he founded C&A Trading and became a partner of GVR Trading.

Beloved husband and best friend for 44 years of Lynn, nee Ravine;

loving father of Cathy (Kim Kick) Chestler, Brad (Shelly) Chestler, Julie

(Jim) Couzins, and Stacey (Jonny) Cohen; adored Papa of Alex, Jordan

(Lauren), Katie, Maggie, Ben, Ellie, Delaney, Emily (fiancé Casey), Ryan,

Danny, Jake, Sophie, Jack, and Lucas; proud great-grandfather of Jace;

devoted son of the late Leo and the late Raye Chestler; dear brother of

the late Carl (Judy) Chestler; brother-in-law of Ed (Susan) Ravine;

treasured uncle and friend to many. Joel had a great sense of humor.

His wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild were the center

of his universe. Joel was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast, especially the

Blackhawks and Cubs. Service Wednesday, 2 p.m., at The Chapel, 8851

Skokie Blvd, Skokie (At Niles Center Rd and Skokie Blvd). The service will

be livestreamed on Joel’s website at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
