Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Goodman, 78, beloved husband and best friend of the late Nita Goodman, née Cooper, for 51 wonderful years; loving father of Brynn (Steven) Cynor, Sydney (Michael) Foster, Bradley (Rebecca) Goodman and Shelby (Brian) Anstedt; cherished Pa of Samuel, Emily and Anna Cynor, Sienna and Stella Foster, Charlotte, Rachel and Harper Goodman, Brody, Evelyn, Natalie and Caroline Anstedt; dear brother of the late Allen Goodman and brother in-law of Sheila Goodman; much loved uncle of Nancy (Matthew) Schiff, Gavin Shernan and the late Beth Goodman; adored son of the late Gertrude and the late Robert Goodman; Jerry was a treasured uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was a U.S. Army veteran (Vietnam), a patriot, a vintage car enthusiast and a mentor to many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, www.t2t.org. Chapel service Friday, August 1, 2025, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
