Obituary

Jerry Naylor was born February 18, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa to Melvin Wayne Naylor and Mary Jane Stutzmen, who have proceeded him in death. He died Thursday, June 29, 2023 in Elgin, Illinois. He was the loving father of Frederik Naylor (Cathleen McHugh Naylor); cherished Saba of Brendan (Victoria) Hunter, Zoe Naylor and Gabriel Naylor; best friend and former husband of Ouida Naylor; dear brother of Chris, Father David, Don and the late Bob Naylor; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry served on the faculty of Iowa Wesleyan College for many years as professor in German and English and several years as Director of the RSI (Responsible Social Involvement) Program. Jerry was unfailingly kind, generous and of deep faith. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ChildFund, childfund.org. Graveside service, Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
