Obituary

Jay J. Levinson, age 86, of Lincolnwood, founded and ran Hollywood Rebuilders Suppliers, a Chicagoland automotive parts rebuilder, for nearly 35 years, surviving a massive fire in 1988; beloved husband for 49 years of Tess Levinson, nee Feiter; loving father of Scott Levinson, Tami (Chris Gardiner) Levinson, Adam Levinson, and the late Marc (Rajean) Levinson; adored grandfather of Michael (Amber) Levinson, Cory Levinson, Leslie Levinson, and JJ Gardiner; proud great grandfather of Chloe Levinson; devoted son of the late Martin and the late Helen Levinson; dear brother of the late Elaine (late Jerry) Waitz and the late Marvin Levinson; treasured uncle to the Waitz, Gaffke, and Feiter Families. The funeral service will be private. Jay was loved by many, especially his wife. He often helped his neighbors and was a baseball little league coach in Lincolnwood. He enjoyed traveling and visiting with his grandchildren, great granddaughter, and walking his grand-dog Omen. He was a long-time member of the B’nai Brith bowling league in which he bowled a near perfect game. Contributions may be to JUF, www.juf.org.
