Irving Farber, age 93.

Loving husband of the late Naomi Farber nee Karlin. Beloved father of Sue (the late Gary) Pechter, Jan (Stu) Goldman, and Phil (Adriana) Farber. Proud grandfather of Brad Ellis, Rob (Lisa) Ellis, Becky Pechter (Aaron Brottman), Aaron (Lisa) Goldman, Josh (Karen) Goldman, Noah (Sara) Goldman, David (Tiffany) Goldman, Melissa (Michael) Goldman, Ashley (Josh) Hoy, Avery Farber, and Aiden Farber. Adoring great grandfather of Sara and Ryan Ellis; Madeline Ellis; Caroline and Graham Brottman; Ellie, Ethan and Mila Goldman; Naomi, Bailey, Goldie, and Pearl Goldman; Abby, Gavi and Aviva Goldman; Benny and Max Goldman; Logan and the late Savannah Pioch; Gus and Austin Hoy. Devoted son of the late Benjamin and Esther (Axelrod) Farber. Brother of the late David Farber and the late Bernard Farber. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special friend of the late Evelyn Burke and Donna Moss. To keep everyone safe and healthy, the interment service will be private. Shiva

Due to an abundance of caution around COVID safety we are planning to sit Shiva outdoors only (masks required and no food/drinks). On Thursday from 10AM - Noon & 1:30PM-4:45PM & 6PM-8PM. Phil, Jan and Sue will be sitting at 2609 Marian Lane, Wilmette. Jan will continue to receive visitors outdoors on Friday from 9AM - Noon & 1PM-4PM, Sunday/Monday from 9AM - Noon & 1PM-6PM at 9128 N. Keeler, Skokie. We fully understand if some of you may not feel comfortable attending during these pandemic times. Those who are not comfortable, or in the event of inclement weather, expressions of sympathy are welcome through phone calls or mail.
