Ilene Ellen Strauss nee Kostow, beloved wife of the late Stuart for 44 years; loving mother of Kent (Diane) and Ross (Sandra) Strauss; cherished grandmother of Lennon, Oliver, Willow, Louisa, and Solomon; devoted daughter of the late Joseph Kostow and the late Gladys Kostow; dear sister of Marlene (the late Howard) Kaplan; many loving nieces and nephews. Beyond unique and fiercely independent. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to: Northwest Community Hospital Animal Assisted Therapy, c/o Wellness Center, 900 W. Central, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Chapel service, Tuesday, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
