Obituary

Howard B. Richter, age 76, of Deerfield and formerly of Philadelphia, PA; beloved husband for 54 years of Patricia “Patti” Richter, nee Engel; loving father of Andrew (Emily) Richter and Sharon (David) Leeds; adored Poppi of Maya, Naomi, Molly, and Paul; cherished brother of the late Michael Richter; dear brother-in-law of Dan (Nancy) Engel; treasured uncle and friend of many. Howard absolutely loved his family and friends and was known for his optimistic outlook on the world. His grandchildren adored him. He will be remembered for his great storytelling and sharp wit. Howard was an esteemed member of the Appraisal Institute and a respected appraiser for nearly 50 years. He took the time to train the next generation of appraisers. Memorial Service Sunday, 2:00 p.m. CT at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd., Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Howard’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
