Obituary

Howard S. Goldberg, 90. Beloved husband for 62 years to Natalie, nee Lewin; devoted father of Stephanie Goldberg (Mark Reed) and Deborah Goldberg; proud grandfather of Hannah and Clara Reed, Max and Ned Scott; caring brother-in-law of the late Sondra (the late Sigmund) Cohen; cherished uncle of Beth Moore, Bonnie Cohen (Sidney Markowitz), and Jennifer Cohen; loving great-uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Howard was a talented professor of physics at University of Illinois - Chicago. He was selected as Carnegie Foundation Professor of the Year in 1995. He also cofounded the TIMS Project to improve math and science for elementary students. Howard will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
