Obituary

Howard Barry Gallay, 81 passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Leslie for 59 wonderful years, loving father of Robert (Dina) Gallay and Sheri (Gregory) Caronis, cherished grandpa of Dawson Gallay, Alexander Caronis, Mia Gallay, Sophia Caronis, and Katherine Caronis. Howard attended Amundsen High School and University of Illinois where he met his sweetheart, Leslie. He was a dedicated family man. Howard loved his kids and grandkids and all of their activities. Howard was passionate about sports, especially baseball, and was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. Howard played baseball until he was 68 years old on many teams. He was also a member of The Roy Hobbs Baseball Association. Howard was the founder and co-owner of ACM Associates. He was a past president and member of the Builders Association of Greater Chicago. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. Memorial donations in his honor to NA'AMAT USA, www.naamat.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Tuesday, February 25, 2025; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
