Obituary
Herbert A. Rosenberg, 90, of Northbrook, Illinois passed away peacefully in Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Born October 21, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, Herbert was the son of the late Adolph and Margaret (Suss) Rosenberg. In addition to his dear parents, Herbert was preceded in death by his brother Robert (Clarice) Rosenberg.
Herbert attended Taft High School and graduated in 1952. On December 7, 1958, Herb married his beloved wife, Ardelle Markowitz, at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago. Herb served his country honorably and proudly while serving as medic in the US Army while stationed in Korea from June 11, 1956 until May 29, 1958. After Herb returned from the military, he went into retail and owned his own clothing business, Morris Department Store in Chicago. Herb pursued his education by obtaining his insurance license in which he finished his career working as an independent insurance contractor.
Herb was a big Chicago sports fan, enjoyed playing cards, walking the Chicago Botanic Garden with his wife, and spending time with his 3 grandchildren. He loved spending the winters at his vacation home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He will be remembered as a humble man who cherished life, his friends and most of all his loving family.
Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Ardelle, of 65 years, two loving children: Stuart (Bridget) Rosenberg and Cheryl (Steve) Mart and 3 cherished grandchildren: Dylan, Jacob, and Ally.
