Obituary

Harvey Teitelbaum, age 94 of Highland Park. Beloved and devoted husband for more than 71 years to Roberta Lois (Stein) Teitelbaum; adoring and adored father of Merle Teitelbaum Cowin (Larry Ordower); cherished grandfather of Sam (Lauren) Cowin, Josh (Becca) Cowin and Danny (Carly) Cowin; proud great-grandfather of Marley, Tanner, Faith and Jacob; fond brother of Annette (Edgar) Gettleman; dear uncle of Robert Gettleman, Joel (Missy) Gettleman and Carol (Gene) Harris. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Fred and Fay Teitelbaum, and his treasured son, Steven Alan Teitelbaum (survived by his wife, Marcy Teitelbaum, his children, Jordan Teitelbaum, Julie Simon and Jason Teitelbaum and several grandchildren). He will be remembered with affection by Garrett, Kathryn, Emmett, Jack and Lewis Ordower, Jamie, Brad, Eli, Theo and Estee Zaransky, and Saly and Simona Chendea. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ORT America, 4411 N. Ravenswood, Suite 300, Chicago, IL 60640 or Steven Teitelbaum Camp Ramah Scholarship Fund at Congregation Beth Shalom, 3433 Walters Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062. Chapel service Weds, June 19, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
