Obituary

Harvey Pyes, 94. Beloved husband for 72 years to Lois, nee Katz; devoted father of Joanne (Steve) Dicker, Carol Pyes, and Janice (Dave) Roach; cherished grandfather of Adam (Mayla) Dicker and Scott (Sarah) Dicker; proud great-grandfather of Zachary, Alexander, Oliver, and Maxwell; dear brother of the late Syvia (the late Albert) Siegel and Gertrude (the late Harry) Blumenthal; adored uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Harvey was a respected lawyer in Chicago for more than 70 years. He was a senior partner at Pyes and Cherin, and past Chairman of the Board at 2 banks and Rush Northshore Hospital. Harvey loved to travel, watch sports, and attend Bears games, but his true love in life was family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org, or the Alzheimers Association, www.alz.org. Chapel service Monday, November 18, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
