Obituary

Harriet Greenberg Itkin, nee Skolnik, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the beautiful age of 100. Born on January 11, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. Devoted daughter of Morris and Clara Skolnik. Harriet was the youngest of six children. Harriet first shared her life with her beloved husband Eli Greenberg, until his passing. She later found love again with Sam B. Itkin, with whom she shared more treasured memories before he too, passed away. Harriet was the loving mother of Ivy Levinson, Murray (Anita) Greenberg, and Judy (James) Gumbiner; stepmom of Sara (Richard) Bulman; adored grandmother of Julie (Don), Jennifer (Peter), Brandon, Brittany, Brooke, and the late Chad; step-grandmother of Kelly and Allison; proud great-grandmother of Natalie, Oliver, Steven and Jack; treasured to many; cherished friend of Larry Newman and loved by all. Harriet was the past president of the sisterhood at Beth Tikva in Florida. She was a long-time resident of West Palm Beach, Florida. Harriet was known for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her presence brought joy to all who knew her, and she leaves a lifetime of beautiful memories.

Graveside service Monday, 11:00 a.m. CT at Memorial Park Cemetery, Section Anshe Emet, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. Harriet’s service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
