Grace Ann Margolin (née Birnbaum), beloved wife of Irving L. Margolin; loving mother of Alan J. and Gayla Margolin; mother-in-law of Steven Rottman; adoring grandmother of Devra (Michael) Richman, Benjamin Rottman (Becky Miller) and Isaac Rottman (Pauline Rouyer); proud great-grandma of Juliette and Sofia Richman and Loïc Rottman; daughter of Benjamin and Helen (Mitteldorf) Birnbaum; devoted sister of Asher (Irene) Birnbaum; sister-in-law of Helen (Herman) Clebanoff; treasured cousin and aunt. Grace was known for being a full partner with Irv in life and in their home-building business. She also is remembered for her love of books and words, and for the way she made all feel welcomed at gatherings of family and friends. In every way possible, Grace fully lived up to her name. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (www.macular.org), the American Heart Association (www.heart.org), your local library, or a charity of your choice will be appreciated. Chapel service Friday 12:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
