Gloria P. Alban

Gloria Alban, Age 91, passed away on May 29, 2024; beloved wife and best friend of the late Louis for 62 wonderful years; loving mother of Steven (Francine Aske) and Karen (Garry) Mion; cherished Grandma of Janet (Jeremy) Grunwald, Rachel (fiance' Alberto Gutierrez), Sarah, David Mion and Robert (Laura) Mion; adored great grandma of Rose and Molly Grunwald, Riley, Aubrey and Charlie Butler, and Ezra Mion; much loved sister in law of Laurie Alban. Gloria was the Matriarch of the family, the glue and organizer for all events. She loved to knit afghans for everyone and playing Mah Jongg. After the passing of her beloved husband, Gloria not only lived independently but cooked daily and was still driving until her last days. Gloria was a warrior in all sense of the word and was a cancer fighter for over 8 years. Gloria's presence will surely be missed. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, Graveside service, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Park 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL.
