Obituary

George Blinick, 98, passed away July 21, 2025. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Judith for 72 wonderful years; loving father of the late Arthur (Beth Preis), Buddy (Denise), and Robert, devoted grandfather to Sara Brin (Wayne), Gabrielle, Nina, Madison, Jack, and Shana; adored great-grandfather of Jaycee, Maizie, and Hannah; dear brother of Gene (Caron) and the late Sara Mae (Marv Lebovitz) Blinick, and uncle and cousin to many.

George was a lover of music and started playing the saxophone at 69 and was a long time member of the New Horizons Band. He was an active volunteer, tennis player and blood donor.

Chapel service Wednesday, July 30, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitalant Blood Services, www.vitalant.org/support-us/vitalant-foundation.
