Obituary

Gail Roy, nee Vission, beloved wife of Jerome; loving mother of Marc (Joy Sclamberg), Jodi (Scotty) Reardon, and Scott (Sarah Graff); cherished grandmother of Josh, Lexi, Tessie, Eliana, Chava, and Orli Roy and Gracie and Jake Reardon; best friend and wonderful family member to so many. Gail lived a wonderful life surrounded by family and friends. Together with Jerry, she raised a close-knit extended family who have countless memories to cherish. She was always available, and time with her always felt special, whether it was a milestone event, a daily phone call, a game of bridge, or an endless game of Uno. She loved the Cubs, a good piece of chocolate, orchids, and Portillo's Italian Beef, but most of all she loved time with family and friends. To all those who had the gift of knowing her, loving her, and being touched by her generous smile and spirit, she really was the best thing ever. Chapel service 12:15 PM Thursday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Gail and her family would welcome memorial donations to either the Jewish United Fund (juf.org), the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
