Fern Ann Silverman, nee Shapiro, age 91, of Skokie, beloved wife and best friend for 53 years of the late Jerome “Jerry” Silverman; loving mother of Janet (Michael) Shamberg and Helene (David) Wengerhoff; adored "Ama" of Dan (Erin), Sonia (David), Melissa, Eric (Ally), Matthew and Allison; proud great grandmother of Trevor, Oscar, Ellie, Emmett and Charlie; devoted daughter of the late Max and the late Esther Shapiro; cherished sister of the late Ruth (the late Dr. Howard) Bresler; treasured aunt and friend to many. Fern was devoted, caring, and loving. She was strong, organized, and selfless. Her family was the center of her world. Graveside service Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. CT at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. The service will be livestreamed on Fern’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
