Obituary

Faith Serell Stone, 91, née Galesburg, beloved wife of the late Joseph "Joe" Stone, happily married for 54 years. Devoted mother of Cindy, Michael (Tina), and Craig (Marla) Stone. Cherished and fun "Grandma Faith" to Jordan (Kara) Aron, Melanie (Andrew) Everett, Sam (Nichole), and Jackson Stone, Gabe, Lucas, and Ian Stone. Great-grandma to Holly, Allegra and Annie. Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Stuart Galesburg and his longtime companion, Julie, and of the late Rowan (the late Norman) Harris. Loving daughter of the late Ann née Jaffe and the late George Galesburg. Faith worked alongside Joe for over 30 years in their Chicagoland meat business, Standard Provision. Joe and Faith loved casino hopping in Las Vegas, going to the Arlington Park Racetrack and traveling the country. Playing mah jongg and poker with friends were Faith's favorite activities, as well as indulging in retail therapy. She proudly preferred red licorice over family dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org . Graveside service Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W.
