Obituary

Enid A. Grabiner nee Feldman, 77, beloved wife of Fred for 56 years; loving mother of Stacy (David) Beilinson, Brian (Kim) Grabiner and Amanda (Michael) Stern; cherished Grandma of Ilana, Jillian, Sabrina and Aria; dear sister of Leslie Leiter; fond sister-in-law of Shelly (Lynn) Grabiner and Irwin Leiter; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A proud South Sider, Enid graduated from Bowen High School before moving on to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Known as “The Camp Lady,” Enid helped place thousands of kids in overnight summer camps. Later, she used her creativity to curate memorable experiences for children as the art room teacher at the Kohl Children’s Museum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education), scopeusa.org or Kohl Children’s Museum, kohlchildrensmuseum.org. Chapel service, Monday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
