Obituary

Elena Y. Olshansky, 63, adored daughter of Yefim and Galina Vernik; beloved wife of Alex Piliev, happily married for 25 years; loving mother of Radmila "Rada" Olshansky; dear sister of Jane (Dmitry Zhukovsky) Vernik; much loved by her cat Malcolm-Kotik; Elena was a treasured aunt, cousin and friend to many. She adored music, dancing, design, languages, travel, figure skating, watching the sunrise on the beach, cloudless sunny skies, and her family. In Elena's honor donations may be made to Wright-WayRescue.org or a charity of your choice. We will honor her life during a Chapel service Tuesday November 12, 2024, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
