Obituary

Elaine Talbert, nee Neiberg, age 75, of Northbrook, IL, passed on Tuesday, July 30; beloved wife of Barry Talbert; loving mother of Alison (David) Schwartz and Matthew (Lisa) Talbert; adored Nana of Abraham, Harrison, Oriana and Naomi; devoted daughter of the late Sylvia and the late Al Neiberg, cherished sister of the late Susan Gussis; proud aunt of David (Lizzie) Gussis, and great-aunt of Ruth, Annabelle, and Scarlett Gussis; treasured niece of the late Jerry (Eunice) Meister; dear cousin of Robin Simborg, Michael (Sue) Meister, Lisa (Bob) Hamer, and Paul (Jill) Meister; life-long friend of Julie Kreiter Shulman.

Elaine’s life was blessed with treasured memories of growing up in Lincolnwood; attending Southern Illinois University where she met the love of her life, Barry; travels to Miami and Delray Beach, especially playing cards with her cousins and Zadie; parties at her home with the Scaccios and Bonomas; being pregnant with Julie; a house filled with Alison’s and Matthew’s friends; joking around with her pals at Shear Elegance; and family dinners surrounded by her mother, sister, children, grandchildren, nephew, and nieces. She was beautiful, generous, funny, and called things like she saw them. Elaine was a shining star. Her legacy of love will be forever cherished.

Graveside service Friday, 12 Noon CT at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. Elaine’s service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
