Obituary

Elaine Fisher, nee Newdelman, resident of Tamarisk NorthShore in Deerfield and she raised her family in Highland Park. Beloved wife for 62 years of the late Morris “Maury” Fisher; loving mother of Randi Heichman, Marla (Larry) Gilbert and the late Susan Glick; adored Bubbie of Andrea (Josh) Leventhal, Brian (Jessica) Glick, Shayna (Nataniel) Lashansky, Benjamin and Adam Heichman, Madelyn and Taylor Gilbert; proud great grandmother of Jacob, Eliana, Miles, Sadie, Harlan, and Ezra; devoted daughter of the late William and the late Sarah Newdelman; dear sister of the late Marilyn Glass; treasured aunt and friend of many. Elaine was a lifelong artist, creator, and designer. She specifically was known for her exquisite jewelry designs. Elaine loved sharing her art and jewelry with the countless people she encountered. If someone would compliment her necklace, Elaine literally took it off her neck to give it to them. She was extremely generous. Through her own personal adversities, Elaine was an inspiration to her family, friends, and anyone she touched. Memorial service, Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. CT at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave, Glencoe. The shiva will immediately follow at Am Shalom until 8 p.m. Elaine’s service will be livestreamed on her page at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Donations would be appreciated to Glenkirk, www.glenkirk.org. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group 847-478-1600.
