Eileen Appleton Shapiro, nee Polinsky, 90. Beloved wife of Fred Shapiro and the late Arnold Appleton; devoted mother of Eliezer (Rutie) Appleton, Betsy Appleton, and Jonathan (Lynn) Appleton; cherished Bubbie of Aharon Appleton, Tina Appleton, Shmuel (Esti) Appleton, Shana (Mendy) Shterenzer, Binyomin (Chaya Sarah) Appleton, William (Nicole Paolello) Appleton, and Michael Appleton; proud great-grandmother of six. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chabad House, 7942 W. Bell Road, Glendale, Arizona 85308, 623-252-1759. Chapel service Friday, November 29, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
