Obituary

Douglas A. Shipley, 66, loving and devoted father of Dana (Darren) Nasatir, Alison (Zachary) Alhamed, and Megan (Philip) Tamulis, passed peacefully January 9, 2025 surrounded by his daughters. Douglas was the cherished grandfather of Quinn, Owen, and Vaughn Nasatir; Jameson and Benjamin Alhamed; and Chloe and Cameron Tamulis; dear brother of Craig Shipley and Debbie (Paul) Stevens, and half-siblings Bill (Eunice) Shipley and Shana (Charlie) Hayes. Doug was a treasured uncle, cousin, and friend, and will be remembered for his love of family, music, and adventure. Sunday, January 12, 2025, a Memorial Service will begin at 2:30 PM in Arlington Heights, IL at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road.
