Obituary

Dorothy Kemp (nee' Kagan), 100, passed away on July 4, 2024; beloved wife and best friend of the late Harvey for 59 wonderful years; loving mother of Sandra (Sidney) Goldstein and Gloria (Bill) Weed; cherished "Bubbie" of Elyse (Curt) Chuvalas, Joel (Laura) Grossman, Jennifer (Terrance) Allan, Amy Weed, Phillip (Michele) Abramson and Steven Abramson; much loved great grandma of Sarah (Pete) Shaw, Tessa Chuvalas, Max Chuvalas, Connor Allan, Madison Allan, Ava Weed, Saige Jones, Marsha Abramson, Callie Flowers, Mackenzie Grossman, Danyelle Grossman, Emillie Grossman, Noah Grossman, Haley Hawk, Lorilyn Hawk, Robert Lee Slinkard and Nathaniel Sklinkard; great great-grandma of many. She was the matriarch to many beloved nieces and nephews who called often to check on her. She remembered everyone's birthdays and phone numbers. Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness to everyone she met. She was a fantastic baker and her grandkids as well as her friends loved to get her baked goods. Despite being legally blind, Dorothy worked as a librarian in her community. Dorothy touched many lives "wore the crown of 5 generations" and will be greatly missed.
