Dorothy Lynn Binder, nee Sherman, age 89, of Vernon Hills, formerly of Morton Grove; beloved wife and best friend for 61 years of the late Herbert W. Binder; loving mother of Larry (late Marla), Dr. Stephen (Eileen), and Rick (Stacy) Binder; adored grandma of Jennifer (Daniel) Didech, Bradley (Lindsay) Binder, Shannon Binder, Jami (Andrew Schneir) Binder, Nicole (Alec Gaffin) Binder, Danielle (Hector) del Rio, and Madison Binder; proud great grandmother of Theo, Violet, Benjamin, and Hudson; devoted daughter of the late Nathan and the late Leah Sherman; cherished sister of the late Miriam (late Arthur) Comin, late Irving (late Charlene) Sherman, and the late Florence Goldberg; treasured aunt and friend to many. Dorothy was the best mom, she lived for her three boys. Always making sure we were well fed, safe and clean. Nothing made her happier than being with her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her cooking skills were ridiculous. Dorothy's legacy was her love of family. She will be missed by all. Service Friday, 2:00 p.m. CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Dorothy’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
