Obituary

Doris Rachel Mirman, nee Shapiro, 95, devoted and beloved wife of the late Elliott Mirman for 66 years; loving mother of Chet (Dori Rosenbloom-Mirman) Mirman and Edie Mirman; cherished Nani of Alex and Ben Mirman; dear sister of the late Benjamin Shapiro. A kind person to everyone she met, Doris' greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandsons. A survivor of the Holocaust, Doris was devoted to Judaism and the State of Israel. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, www.ilholocaustmuseum.org or the American Friends of Magen David Adom, www.afmda.org.
