Obituary
FALK, DONALD -STAR OF DAVID EMBLEM- on June 17, 2025, of Clarence Center, NY. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud veteran. Donald leaves behind a legacy of service, strength, compassion, and unwavering love. Born on January 15, 1932, Donald served his country honorably as a United States Marine during the Korean conflict. He continued his dedication to national service in the United States Air Force where he rose to the rank of Master Sergeant, and was entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing the propeller systems for air defense operations. His leadership, technical expertise, and deep sense duty earned him the enduring respect of all who served with him.
Donald spoke multiple different languages, a talent that reflected both his intelligence and his deep respect for different cultures. After retiring from the military, he remained committed to serving others. He gave back to his community by volunteering his time to teach English to individuals who had newly arrived in the United States, helping them acclimate and find confidence in their new home. His kindness, patience and generous spirit made a lasting difference in many lives.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years of love devotion to Lillian Falk. Proud father to Annette (Thomas) Chirico, and Burton Falk. Cherished grandfather to Michael (Elizabeth) Chirico and Heather (Robert) Schoener. Great-grandfather to Abby, Emma, Anna, Riley, and Meghan- who loved him dearly and brought endless love, joy and happiness to his days.
Donald's life was one of quiet dignity, enduring service, and heartfelt generosity. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, gentle strength, and the deep love he showed for his family, his country, and his community. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 1 PM from AMHERST MEMORIAL CHAPEL LLC. 281 DODGE RD. No prior visitations. In lieu of flowers, please consider donaions to a veteran's organization or local literacy initiative of your choice.
