Obituary

David A. Shapiro, 68, beloved husband and best friend of Shari nee Kagan, for 44 wonderful years; loving father of Jaclyn (Leo) Orlov and Alyssa Shapiro; cherished grandpa of Rachel Margot Orlov; devoted son of the late Minerva and Lester Shapiro; dear brother of Gail Steinberg and Joel (Sari) Shapiro; treasured uncle, cousin and friend of many. In lieu of flowers and in honor of David's mother Minerva, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). David was an extremely giving person who always helped others. In his memory you may also donate to the charity of your choice. Chapel service Wednesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
