Obituary

David Rice, 86, of Barrington, Illinois passed away following a formidable battle with kidney disease. David was born in Oak Park, Illinois to Alex and Lucile. He lived in Chicago for many years after he married. He is survived by his steadfast wife of nearly 60 years Carol (nee Jackson), children Adam Rice (Gwen), Jennifer Murphy (Charlie), and Melissa Rice; three grandchildren Jeremy, Samantha, and Jessica Murphy; sister-in-law Sandra Cohen; nieces and nephews Flauren Ricketts, Joel Brosk (Carol), Bronwyn Jacobson (Kenny), Nathaniel Cohen (Lynn), Julia Judish (Nathan), and Joshua Cohen; and his best friend and cousin Basil Kromelow, among many other beloved relatives. His sister, Muriel Brosk (Herb), preceded him in death.  

Service will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road) Skokie, immediately followed by interment at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
