Obituary

David M. Harris, 70, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Sheryl for almost 50 years; loving father of Jason (Shellee Urban) and Joseph (Jenna Rivera); cherished grandpa of Dominic, Kiley, Austin, Gio Nguyen, Isaac, Natalie Hotz, Francesca and Joey; much loved brother of Jacqueline (Robert) Saucedo and brother-in-law of Richard (Martha) Nathanson; adored uncle of Lauren Nathanson and many other nieces and nephews; dear friend of many. David loved baseball, from going to games to just watching the games on TV. He was an avid reader on the subjects of WWII and the Air Force. David really loved movies and was known to sneak the boys out of school, a time or two, to catch a movie release at the theater. Family was his greatest joy and his presence will be missed. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org or St Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Tuesday, June 4, 2024; 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
