Obituary

Dr. David (Dave) M. Eppel of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 after a brief illness at the age of 96. Dave was a kind, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He touched the lives of all who knew him with his warm smile and engaging sense of humor. After retiring from his beloved career of dentistry in 2003 that spanned 51 years, he enjoyed his talent for fixing things and creating home projects. He had a curious mind and could tell jokes like no other. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Dave was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Harriet Meyers Eppel. He is survived by his three children, Marcie (Stuart) Kramer, Hildy (Joel) Hassman, Amy (Craig) Gold and six grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Bieber, Elizabeth (Aaron) Schwartz, Samantha (Wesley) McDaniel, Shari (Michael) Miklewski, Corey Gold and Sam Gold. He is predeceased by his parents, Solomon and Hannah Eppel and his brother, Sidney Eppel.

Graveside services will be held at United Hebrew Cemetery on Washington Boulevard on Monday, October 4th at 3:00 pm. The family will be in mourning following interment at 4902 Riding Ridge Court, Laurel, MD 20707 through Wednesday. Due to Covid concerns, Shiva will be private. Please contact the family for more information.
