Obituary

David Paul Cohen, 82. Beloved husband for 56 years to Sheryl, nee Greenberg; devoted father of Ron (Shara) Cohen, Aaron (Natalie) Cohen, and Robyn (Josh) Shapiro; proud grandfather of Justin Cohen, Ethan Cohen, Arielle Shapiro, Jordan Cohen, Addison Shapiro, Tessa Cohen, and Andrew Cohen; loving brother of the late Michael Cohen; dear son of the late Francis and Irwin Cohen; cherished close friend of many. Teaching was Dave's job and passion - he was a dedicated Special Education teacher in the Chicago Public Schools for decades. He loved to travel, play cards, and root for the Cubs. Above all, he treasured his family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillel International, www.hillel.org. Chapel service Sunday, November 3, 11 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
