Obituary

Dale L. Lustig, age 72, of Wheeling, formerly of Des Plaines, beloved husband for 46 years of the late Robin “Robbie” Lustig; loving mother of Scott (Danielle Aardsma) Lustig and Todd (Abbey) Lustig; adored Papa of Daniel, Tessa, Averie, Mason, and Ryan; devoted son of the late Nathan and the late Edythe Lustig; cherished brother of Alynne Lustig and Michele (Kenneth) Hechtman; dear brother-in-law of Joy (Gary) Goldman; treasured uncle and friend of many. Dale was known to be strong-willed, but he was also caring and loved his family with all his heart, even though it was sometimes shown in different way. One thing is for sure, he loved his grandkids. He would light up and turn into a different person the moment any of them entered the room. Dale loved to play and joke with them and made them laugh non-stop. Todd and Scott loved their memorable yearly camping trips with Dale, filled with laughter and adventure. What made everything sweeter was sharing these life experiences with Robbie. Graveside service Friday, 10:30 a.m. CT at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. The service will be livestreamed on Dale webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Autism Speaks, www.autismspeaks.org. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
