Obituary

Cyril Kurtz (nee Lev), 90, passed away on May 12, 2025; beloved wife and best friend of the late Mike for 55 wonderful years; loving mother of Sheri Tabloff, Teri (the late Jeffrey) Spreckman and Randy (Mindy) Kurtz, cherished grandma of Carrie (Craig) Curtis, Matthew Tabloff, Douglas Spreckman, David Spreckman, Rikki (Adam) Saffro, Erin (Jordan) Gilman, Emily (Petros) Papantoniou and Jessie (Jacob) Hurwith. Great grandmother of Sofia, Isabel, Oliver, Chloe, Dylan, Joey, Tyson, Jackson and Jade; much loved sister of Annette (the late Jack) Weinberg; dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Cyril was the heart of her family. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loved ones, and this was never more evident than during their regular gatherings at restaurants. We created a chat group called "fat camp" so we can coordinate our outings with the entire immediate family. These weren't just meals; they were cherished gatherings, filled with laughter, stories, and the comforting presence of those she held dear. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel connected and loved around the table, creating memories that will be treasured. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to Keshet,www.keshet.org. Graveside service, Wednesday, May 14, 2025; 2:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL.
