Obituary

Clarice Simon, nee Lotsoff, 97. Beloved wife for 57 years to the late Morris; devoted mother of Shelley Lance (Frank Shoichet), Jay (Carol) Simon, and Marla (John) Kopke; treasured grandmother of Sara Kopke (Larissa Layne), Stephanie Simon, Elyssa (David) Nelson, Jennifer (Steven) Klein, Leah Kopke, and Michael Simon; proud great-grandmother of Hudson, Charlotte, and Alice; loving sister of Seymour (Jo) Lotsoff and Cheryle (Chris) Miller; predeceased by her sister Harriet Lotsoff and her husband Arnold Goldfaber; dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Clarice loved gardening and reading, but most important to her was family. She will be deeply missed. Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chicago Botanic Garden, www.chicagobotanic.org, or your local library.
