Obituary

Clara Kacyn, nee Kogan, age 94, of Fountain Hills, AZ, formerly of Skokie, IL  and born and raised in Argentina, beloved wife for almost 70 years of the late Mike Kacyn; loving mother of Lillian (Alan) Acker and the late Louis Kacyn; adored grandmother of Robin (Matt) Kacyn, Anna (Guillame) Labat, Scott (Mary Beth) Kacyn, Matthew Kacyn, Mark Kacyn, Steven Acker, Kenneth (Lindsay) Acker, Jennifer (Adam) Sherman, and Daniel (Emma) Acker; proud great grandmother of David, Shayna, and Judah Sherman, Claire, Louis, and Henri Labat, Michael, Sarah, and William Kacyn, and Maria Kacyn, cherished sister of Lidia Cobal;  treasured aunt of Judy O'Toole and Robert (Christina) Soriano, dear cousin, cousin-in-law and other relatives and friends in the U.S. and Argentina.

Clara loved to travel with Mike, and being creative with her sewing, knitting, and needlework. She was an avid reader and was always up to date on politics and current events. Perhaps most of all, Clara loved to cook (and everyone loved to eat her cooking). Every time we cook one of her dishes, she will be remembered warmly.

Clara may have believed that a couple should have only two children, but she ultimately accepted (and was happy) that her children believed otherwise. Nothing thrilled her more than being with her nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The Kacyn and Acker Families want to thank the caring people at Fountain View Village and Hospice of the Valley who took gentle care of Clara and became friends to her and to our family.
