Carolyn Katz, nee McGinnis, age 85, of Deerfield, formerly of Skokie, retired registered nurse; beloved wife and best friend for 60 years of Melvin P. Katz, MD; loving mother of Laura Katz, Dan (Dawn Kaplan) Katz, and Jon (Lisa) Katz; adored Grammie of Maddie, Adam, Sam, Brandon, Jacob, and Dylan; devoted daughter of the late Homer and the late Lela McGinnis; cherished sister of Randy (late Roxanne) McGinnis and the late Larry (late Kathy) McGinnis and the late Bill (Merrill Stanton) McGinnis; dear sister-in-law of Doris (late Stuart) Jacobson; treasured aunt and friend to many. Graveside service Monday, 1:00 p.m. CDT at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. The service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
