Obituary

Carol M. Ascher (née Muchnick), 83, passed away on June 11, 2025; Adored mother of Susan (Scott) Peterman and the late Lauri (Tom Stotter) Ascher-Stotter; much loved "Grandma Carol" of Jake and Sophie Stotter and Rachel and Josh Peterman; caring former spouse and best friend of Stan (Merle) Ascher and former loving companion of Joel Glickman. Carol was a vibrant spirit who always knew how to have a good time. She loved shopping, even if it was just to get her steps in. She took exceptional care of herself, always mani-pedi ready; she was a fashionista.. Carol enjoyed Canasta; a good book, and to travel to Boca Raton, Florida. After the loss of her daughter, Lauri, Carol became a dedicated second mother to her grandchildren and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Memorial donations in her honor can be made to the Cancer Wellness Center, www.cancerwellness.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Friday, June 13, 2025; 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
