In Loving Memory of

Burton D. Scheck

Obituary

Burton D. Scheck of Las Vegas and Chicago. July 5, 1922 - March 31, 2018. Married for 73 years to the love of his life Irene nee Emanuel. Fond son of the late Leo and Helen Scheck. Loving father of Dale (Jeannine), Dean, Don (Karen), Duane and Danny (Cheryl). Devoted grandfather of Wesley, Brooke, Felicia, Leo (Amy), Lena (Jason), Loni, Zach, Nate, Shelby, Sami, Joey, Jeremy and Jessie (Ross). Great grandfather of Michael, Gabriel and Judah. Poppy Burt always had a family first mindset. Spending quality time with grandchildren, talking about life and encouraging them to be good, kind-hearted people, was something that he loved dearly. He even put the cell phone to use, texting them on a daily basis just to say, "I love you!" Burt's easy going nature and thirst for knowledge was contagious. He had many friends, none of which he was closer with than his two beloved dogs, Shayna and Skippy, whom he took everywhere. Burt was a fabulous businessman who started his career as a carpenter and later became a builder of homes and apartment buildings. He never said truer words than those of his last, which were, "I HAD A WONDERFUL LIFE." The funeral services and interment will be private. The shiva will be on Sunday at Ravinia Green Country Club 1200 Saunders Rd., Riverwoods from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Conbributions in his memory can be made to www.Tourette.org , www.Alpha1.org or www.nationalmssociety.org (MS Walk - Team Poppy Burt) would be appreciated.
