Bruce Brody

Obituary

Bruce S. Brody of Northbrook, IL, passed away on April 2, 2026. Born on January 19, 1943, he was a larger-than-life personality, known to all who knew him to have a huge heart and a contagious laugh, always making his family laugh about irrelevant and ridiculous things. Bruce had a boundless capacity for love, leaving an indelible imprint on all whom he touched. He was adored by his son, Judd (Lisa) Brody and daughter, Jinjer Brody (Steve Grant); worshiped by his grandchildren Stone, Graham, Brody, and Rydan; treasured by his sister, Susan Brody (Robbie Mack); cherished as "Uncle B" to his nephews, Jerry Mack (Melissa) and Douglas Mack (Sophie Schwartz); held dear by his former wife and special friend, Janet Brody; and remembered by Michael Brody. In every respect, Bruce lived his life as the embodiment of the song, "My Way." We will deeply miss him. In lieu of flowers and remembering the sports fanatic that Bruce was, memorial donations may be made to the Chicago White Sox Charities: whitesoxcharities.org. Chapel service, Monday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
