Obituary

Brian A. Braun, 76, loving husband of Terre (nee Tibbles). Caring father of David (Sadie), Rabbi Aaron (Marina), and Max. Beloved "Pop" of Aidan, Lillian, Samantha, Jonah, Ariella, Jackson and Naftali Braun. Brother of Mark and Gordon. Brother-in-law of Louise (Stuart) Mathewson, John (Sandi) Tibbles, and the late Charles Tibbles. Uncle of Schuster (Molly) Braun, Terri Licopoli, and Mike (Lisa) Mathewson. Cousin of the late Howard Hoffman, Paul (Jackie) Hoffman, Alissa (Peter Reichle) Behn, and Marty (Diana Paserba) Behn. Son of the late Jerry and the late Lillian (Schuster) Braun. Brian was a graduate of the School of Communications at the University of Illinois (class of 1969) and received a Juris Doctor from Depaul University, Chicago (class of 1974). He served school boards throughout Illinois for 48 years, first for the Illinois Association of School Boards, and then for 41 years at the firm bearing his name; Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk and Miller, Ltd. Brian was a loyal husband, a caring father, and a devoted "Pop". Brian believed that family was most important and was proudest of his children, grandchildren, and the vibrant family dynamic he helped to foster. The loss of his presence will be deeply felt. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to the charity of your choice. Chapel service, Monday, June 5, 2023, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL.
