Obituary

Bonnie Jo Eisenberg (nee Strickland), of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021. She is survived by her loving children, Traci Eisenberg-Rayburn (Michael Rayburn), and Eric (Norma) Eisenberg; siblings, Charlotte Wise, and Sandy (Fred) Sprouse; grandchildren, Ashleigh Pienkosz, Tigh Rayburn, and Elijah Eisenberg; great granddaughter, Alanna Morales; and step grandchildren, Tiffany, Kianna, David, Nick, and Kendall. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Melvin Eisenberg, and parents, Bruce Strickland and Mildred Gleason.

Our mother, Bonijo Eisenberg was first and foremost a dedicated mother! She did everything in her power to be strong for her children, no matter what she had going on in her own life! Her passion was crafting, sewing or quilting, her hands were always busy. Our mother was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others, most especially her family. She put her life on hold to make sure her children grew up with a Mom that was strong and resilient.

It would be wrong to say that our mother lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she ever was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, our Mom stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in her. Her joy for life, being with her family and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Though we grieve her loss, we take great comfort in knowing she and our Dad are together again. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. May her memory be for a blessing always.
