Obituary

Beverly Sokol, nee Schwartz, daughter of the late Mary and Julius Schwartz, passed away on April 24 at age 91 following a brief battle with cancer. Beloved wife for 43 years to the late Art Sokol and loving spouse of the late Irving Warso; devoted mother of Mark (Denise) Sokol and Rhonda (Robert) Ryan; cherished grandmother of Dana (Douglas) Hale, Adam Ryan (Jacqueline Salazar), and Brandon Sokol; proud great-grandmother of Quinn and Grant; caring sister of the late Charlotte (the late Leonard) Rawski; treasured sister-in-law, aunt, and great-aunt of many. Beverly was born in Chicago and raised her family in Elk Grove Village before spending most of her adult years in Buffalo Grove. Beverly had a great sense of style, love of shopping, and enjoyed spending time with her many friends playing Mah Jongg and Canasta. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS United Illinois, www.alsunitedillinois.org. Chapel service Wednesday, April 29, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W.
