Obituary

Benjamin Ber, 71, beloved husband and best friend of Linda (nee Ugent) for 38 wonderful years;
loving father of Sarah (David) Elimelech and Jeremy Ber; cherished grandfather of Noah, Liam
and Jordan Elimelech; devoted son of the late Riva and Ephriam Ber; treasured brother,
brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many.


A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Benjamin excelled
in roles as an engineer and software developer at companies such as Wang Laboratories and
United Airlines. His professional expertise was notable, reflecting his dedication to his field.


Beyond his work, Benjamin was fond of games of strategy, particularly Texas Hold'em and
Blackjack, showcasing his skill and enjoyment in the world of cards. Additionally, he found
delight in visiting Las Vegas, drawn to the city's vibrant atmosphere and excitement.


Remembered by family, friends, and colleagues for his dedication to both work and family,
Benjamin's life encompassed a mix of professional accomplishments and personal interests,
leaving a mark that resonated with those around him.


Benjamin Ber will be fondly remembered for his professional aptitude, love for games, cars, old
sit-coms, and Chicago Sports (Da Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox). His legacy lives on in the memories of those whose lives he
touched.

60062. Chapel service Friday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand
Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. For information, including a link to
