Obituary

Beatrice Ring, nee Frankel, 93. Beloved wife and best friend for 71 years to Norman; devoted mother of Michelle (Yoram) Daon, Berton Ring (Victoria Pimentel), and Barry Ring (Myroslava Dysko); cherished grandmother of Yamit (Eyal) Moyal, Yardena (Yan) Pushkash Daon, Barak (Stephanie) Daon, Ashley, Andrew, Benjamin,Olivia, and Amelia Ring; proud great-grandmother of ten; loving daughter of the late Bruno Frankel and Betty Shiftan. Beatrice was a proud Holocaust survivor, having emigrated to Chicago from Germany in 1939. She was incredibly devoted to her husband Norman, assisting with his realty company and affording housing opportunities in Metropolitan Chicago to folks from all walks of life. She was community minded and focused on Jewish education and causes, as an active member of Hadassah, the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, and Parents of North American Israelis (PNAI). She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, www.ilholocaustmuseum.org. Funeral service Tuesday, April 22, 1 PM at Beth Hillel B'nai Emunah, 3220 Big Tree Lane, Wilmette. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
