Obituary

Barbara Joyce Hurwitz (nee Alpert), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Hurwitz; daughters, Laura Weiner and Stacey (Brian) Heller; grandchildren, Brandon Weiner, Lance Weiner, Gabrielle Heller and Garrett Heller; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Leon and Phyllis Goldman. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Hyman Alpert.

Barbara Hurwitz was married to Marvin 58 years. She served as a role model to her two daughters and four grandchildren who adored her. Barbara was also admired by her professional colleagues and clients representing large and small businesses, mostly in the Greater Baltimore area, but also in northern Virginia and southern Pennsylvania, as a promotional advertising counsellor. She won many sales awards and developed close relationships with several of her clients.

Although she will always be remembered by family and closest friends as preparing super-delicious meals, including fabulous desserts, she also will be remembered as a person who went out of her way to help both family members and friends. She was very engaged in local, national and international events.
